With regards to where to host your website on the internet there are hundreds of companies that can offer this service.
Feel free to use any that you wish, I have been using Streamline.net and have found them to be reliable and good value.
If you do use them then the Home User package should be more than enough space for you, be aware that if you plump for the free trial period and don't inform them in time of your intentions to use the Home User package you will automatically be 'upgraded' to a more expensive package which they do explain in the terms.

On the Streamline home page you can also check if the site domain name you want is available.
Be sure to check if you need to pay for it though as the free domain names that Streamline refer to are only the names that end with .uk
